Research shows that incidents of academic misconduct are reduced when students are required to complete an academic integrity declaration shortly before taking a quiz or exam. This short video demonstrates how to create an academic integrity declaration in BrightSpace using the Checklist tool and how to set this as a release condition for quizzes. If set as a release condition, students will only be able to access the quiz or exam after they've completed the declaration.

Example declaration statements for exams and assignments are attached as well as a few example discussion assignments related to the topic for instructors to use or adapt for their courses.
